Writing your petition only in German silences your voice to everyone that does not read German or does not take a few minutes to translate everything.

Like it or not, English is the international language so if you really want international support add some English and try to get your fight picked up by the international media, twitter etc. International attention, as I'm sure you know, is the only way to change the political landscape of a country and even then it is difficult and takes time.
